I met him once in Aberdeen in 1990 in a lift. The u16 World Cup was in Scotland that year, and my dad worked on an oilrig in the north sea, the Tartan Alpha, which was one of the sister rigs of the Piper Alpha. He got tickets for one of Scotland’s matches through his work, and so my mum, brother and me went up to Aberdeen, and the Brazilian squad and officials were staying in the same hotel as us. IIRC he got in the lift with us after breakfast.

A god. He did things with a football that shouldn’t have been possible.

Requiescat.

After moving to LA I noticed a Vivienne Westwood shop on Melrose, I guess it's West Hollywood. Been meaning to go in, not that I could afford anything.
