I don't know your situation or particular gripe, but on my end of things I could probably count on one hand the number of times in 30+ years of playing shows and being in studios where I haven't had to say something like "hey, i'm still getting my shit set up, could you give me 5min before you start putting mics up? It'll make this a lot easier for both of us."

This might be esoteric.
This might just be a complaint.

Yes it is a complaint.
I was actively resisting the urge to hit drums while the sound person was mic'ing my kit last night. In fact, I made it a goal after I checked everything before doors not to hit a single drum until the first song.

Question: Can It Be Saved and Should It????
This guy is a friend of mine and will be pretty blunt if it's fixable or not: https://milwaukeelutherie.com . I usually just message him through IG. If it can be fixed he's very good.

Here’s the deal - I have a vintage Gibson t-top that sounds godlike, and an old Dimarzio bridge humbucker I don’t like. They came out of a 70s medallion Firebird that had been modded for humbuckers, which I had Firebird pickups put back in.

I have a 12 string strat in pieces with a universal route. Since strat pickups are too much when paired with a 12 string, I think I’m going to put it back together with the two humbuckers. I’m not trying to sound like the Byrds so much as I am trying to get interesting sounds out of electric guitars played with the fingers.

What’s up with Fender spaced humbucker pickups? My first reaction is to buy a matching t-top for the bridge from Fralin, but if I can avoid spending a couple hundred I wouldn’t mind it. But if I might have issues with the bridge pickup because of poles not lining up, I will likely just buy a new pickup.

Interested in your opinions here as I prefer to have a working guitar more than I really care about experimenting with parts! The odds of me trying different pickups once it’s all put together is low, and I’d rather get ahead of any issues I might have down the line
