I hate this song.

I like Peter Gabriel. He's done undeniably great work in Genesis and solo. But something about this song really chaps my ass.

Is it the Say Anything association? Possibly. Lloyd Dobler should have been arrested and deservedly so.

I think 'In Your Eyes' is a great love song. I'm getting married in December, and I put it on our list of songs we want played at our reception.

Also, 'Say Anything' is probably the best Cameron Crowe film of his I've seen (but I digress...).

There's a place for songs like this. In my life that place would be the dentist's office.

I dunno, man, have you dug into the first three Gabriel solo records? They have some crazy shit on them in between "Games Without Frontiers" and "Shock the Monkey." "Biko" is absolutely transfixing.

As far as "In Your Eyes?" It's lovely. Can't hate. Not crap.

I'm certainly not one of those "poptimism" dorks, but I'm certainly not gonna limit myself to PRF-approved aluminum indie rock either. Then again, I unashamedly grew up on hair metal before discovering punk rock, so whatever.

Peter Gabriel rules and is kind of a musical genius. Shrug!

I can’t stand the syncopated electronic orchestral triangle/hi-hat sound that seems to center around 12kHz. This makes an otherwise unremarkable song irritating to me.
