That run from 1989 to 1994 is pretty awesome, IMO. I think he proved how crucial he was to the DK's overall musical character, despite not being a musician.
The quality is pretty consistent across the board, but I might just give it to the D.O.A. collab, which is a stomper from start to finish.
Which particular flavour of post-DKs Jello do you enjoy the most?

2THE SKY IS FALLING AND I WANT MY MOMMY
Honestly, I prefer it to all Dead Kennedys output. it just hits all the right spots for me

4Those 3 longish tracks on the B-side of the Nomeansno LP are some of my fave shit by the band ever.

5Gotta go with Lard.
While a liked all the other albums listed above they were one and done. Lard had a good EP and two very good albums during peak Ministry.
Special shout out to Tumour Circus just cause I feel like it's overlooked and seldom talked about.

6Musically great yes (I LOVE SPBT), but I think Biafra's vocals distract from it too much; distract from most if not all of those records actually. He's really only good in DK, and would be acceptable in a Robert Calvert era Hawkwind or Sparks cover band.pet fever detector wrote: Mon Oct 18, 2021 10:48 pm Special shout out to Tumour Circus just cause I feel like it's overlooked and seldom talked about.

7Melvins?
The first two tracks on Never Breathe What You Can't See are the apex of his post-DK time for me.
Of the listed choices, NoMeansNo. Lard, like Ministry itself, has aged poorly.

8I Never bothered with the DOA stuff. The Mojo Nixon collaboration was fun, and LARD and Tumor Circus were both decent efforts.
I've always enjoyed snarky/satire/humor preachy-Biafra to angry preachy-Biafra. The humorous stuff always went down better than the bitter/angry stuff - which for him just comes off as whiney.

Re: Biafra-dome: Best Post-DK Project
9I'll go with Tumor circus; A SPB + Charlie Tolnay combo is hard to beat, even if Biafra's voice doesn't completely fit there.
Re: Biafra-dome: Best Post-DK Project
10LARD, but I would have voted 1000 Homo DJs if I could have.
I really love Dead Kennedy's but I'm otherwise completely uninterested is listening to Biafra's quasi-intellectual verbal diarrhea.
DK set the bar high, and Biafra is really annoying.
