Re: Villain? Hero? Anti-Hero?... Dr. Samuel Loomis

OG Halloween 1,2,4,5? At worst he is an Ahab like character, but he is a doctor trying to stop a monster, doing the police's job half the time. At best he saved several lives and would have saved plenty more if people would have listened to him. In the original John Carpenter scripted entries Loomis is the one to kill Michael by sacrificing himself and blowing them both up.

RZ H1&2: Yeah, he is a villain.

I watched him for fifteen years, sitting in a room, staring at a wall; not seeing the wall, looking past the wall. Not sure why I love that line so much. In my head it goes on forever...seeing the atoms, looking past the atoms, considering the quarks...

I don't see how Loomis could be thought of as a villain unless he was the one who taught Michael how to drive.
