Re: Order of Operations: Brushing and Flossing
2Honestly, I don't floss before or after, I do it after a meal when I (usually) get something stuck in my teeth.

3I brush at least twice a day, morning and evening.
I have gotten into the habit of flossing when I shower, and then I always follow it up with brushing, too. I don't shower every day, but do at least five times a week, so I floss about five times a week more than I did most of my life.

4You floss first. Why would you want plaque all up in your shit AFTER you brushed and have a nice clean mouth?

6Floss first.
It was almost impossible to make myself floss for my first 4 decades on the planet, but MAN, those interdental brushes have been a game-changer. I actually enjoy it now. Gold stars from my dentist every time now.

7Floss first. My dentist gave me grief about flossing last time I saw her, so I'm persevering with it. Doing the back teeth is a bastard, though.
Re: Order of Operations: Brushing and Flossing
8“It depends” is my answer, but since I do typically brush first and no one has voted for that, it is my vote.
Agree, if shit’s bad, floss to get the nasty stuff loose first.
When flossing last, and there’s something unexpected in there, may need to run the brush through there again and repeat.
(I had very crooked teeth for a long time until getting the Invisalign treatment recently. Plenty of experience with food getting stuck pretty badly between teeth.)

10I brush first as well. Spit but don't rinse. Then floss.seby wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 5:18 pm Wait, people floss first? Have I been doing this wrong for like, decades?
I've actually flossed every day (except once when I was in bed sick) for the past 16 months or so. Now I'd feel weird about going to bed without flossing first.
