I've been on a kick lately, particularly the Michael Rose-Puma-Duckie era. Really enjoying it. Michael Rose is a charismatically intense frontman and I find Puma's vocals strange and compelling. I have no idea what the fuck Duckie did other than being the bandleader apparently.
Obviously Sly and Robbie are an unfuckwithable rhythm section if there ever was one.

2Not crap. If you are looking for so-called *bands* ( as opposed to vocalists/deejays) bridiging 70s roots reggae with that awesome erly 80s/pre-digital sly&robbie/junjo lawes proto dncehall sound, noone did it quite like them...
