Wife has been watching this relatively new cable network that purports to report the news without bias.
Good idea, but poorly executed. Moderate bias is still bias. Plus right now it seems like a place for outcasts originally from other networks.
CRAP, at least for now. Waffles because moderate bias is less bad than right-wing bias, and because it evolved from Chicago-based Superstation WGN.
The only all-news networks that come to mind as being (close to) unbiased are the C-SPAN networks and (this might seem random) Bay News 9 in Tampa.
Re: Cable news: NewsNation
2Remember when Fox was fair and balanced because their tagline was "fair and balanced"? Bill Shine, Roger Ailes' surrogate rectum during those years, is now in a major consulting role with Newsnation. They have other Fox News people and Live PD slimebag Dan Abrams on board as well.
Re: Cable news: NewsNation
3There is no such thing as unbiased news.
Everything about news coverage is affected by some degree of bias, whether it is left, right, moderate or anything else. How stories are selected and the degree of attention given to any subject are all byproducts of biases, whether overt or subconscious.
Often the stories that are covered are the result from a PR firm bringing them to the attention to the under-staffed, under-funded news rooms.
