I'm usually not a fan of concept albums/rock operas but I fucking love this album so much. I think it's it's both Neil's and Crazy Horse's best studio album since Harvest Moon (in Neil's case) or Ragged Glory (in CH'S case). Hell, I might even prefer it to those albums. Up there with Psychedelic Pill in their 21st century stuff. Need to give Le Noise a few more listens.

I liked it a lot when it was released (with an extra cd of the whole thing don't acoustically) but man, this one has not held up well for me.

Will give it another shot this week, though.

A discussion for another thread likely, but about 1998-basically the present is a hard hang for me (punctuated by songs of true brilliance). I think Living With War comes out shortly after this and that was a harsh toke for me at the time.
