Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
2There are a few different ways of looking at this dome.
I'll just say I love my Epiphone Les Paul. It's a great guitar. Therefore, Epiphone gets my vote.

3Squier. It is the golden age of Squier. When I was a teen I'd have died for these Squiers that are available today.

Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
4I appreciate that Squier brings back weird ideas or creates new hybrids of things, whereas Epiphones will always just be cheapened versions of the most famous Gibson models. Also, fuck Gibson.
Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
5I’m on team Squier. The stuff coming out of the Chinese factory is pretty solid, and I love the Paranormal series. I have a Paranormal Jazz bass, and I really enjoy playing that thing.
Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
6Squier makes some fun stuff, Epiphones just seem directionless, plus the Epi headstock on an LP or SG looks so dumb.
Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
7To misquote the film Game Night, how can it be economic for Fender's discount range to be on a par, and certainly more interesting, than the premium offerings? Not complaining though.

8Apparently they have a trend of making them high quality and establishing a name for the budget item, then moving factories.pldms wrote: Wed Jul 19, 2023 3:14 am To misquote the film Game Night, how can it be economic for Fender's discount range to be on a par, and certainly more interesting, than the premium offerings? Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
9In my experience, genrally Epiphone are distinctly second rate, not bad per say, but I've never seen / played anything great. Squier can be very hit and miss but there are many interesting models for the price range they normally cover.
Squier for me.
Squier for me.
Re: Epiphone vs. Squier
10Squier has the better line overall. Epiphones always feel cheap, although I like my old Thunderbird IV Pro.
