Re: Favorite R.E.M. 80' LP
5The only REM song I like is 'The One I Love', so whichever album that's on.

6R.E.M. was my favorite band for a long time and I love all of these albums (it’s good to see more than one other person on here with similar feelings!).

Least favorite of these, but I still love: Document

Honorable mentions to Chronic Town and Dead Letter Office. DLO is my favorite B-sides album of all time and if it was offered as an option, I’d seriously consider selecting it.trey wrote:Reckoning. Slightly edges Murmur for me.

7All of them are great. Even Fables, the weakest from a songwriting perspective, has this weird, eerie tone in its sound that's almost magic.
Murmur to me, then Document.

8Is it wrong to like Green? I like Orange Crush. Not my favorite band, but very good.

9Reckoning might be on of their strongest releases ever in terms of songwriting, but I'm not crazy about the recording.
Green has some amazing highlights but it has some fat also and recording is too trebly, clean.
90's REM is good but can't compare to tthat wonderful 80's stuff
