Heard. Considered adding Pavement as they and Unrest share a certain spirit in early material, plus I'd be remiss not to mention Wedding Present's cover of "Box Elder," but they aren't as savagely jangly as the two contenders.

Haven't made up my mind to vote, but leaning towards the Wedding Present.
Justice for Dexter Wade and Nakari Campbell

A very good matchup and a tough one for me. I really dig those early Wedding Present singles (there's a CD comp of them, I believe). But the first three Unrest LPs and initial singles all have major moments, up to and including the "Skinhead Girl" 7-inch.

Even though there's more filler, I'm tempted to give it to Unrest for the what-the-fuck? experimental touches they would eventually outgrow. Mark Robinson is also a very underrated rhythm guitarist, lovely textures, a unique sound, and quite a strumming hand. But Pete Solowka's hyperactivity roughing up those Dave Gedge pop songs was pretty excellent, as well.

Ugh. I just dunno.
