I’m going with the Gap Band. I’m filled with joy every time I hear it. How many quarters did I load into the Dairy Queen jukebox in 1983 so I could warm up the room with that funky bomb? At least $5.00 worth.

I like Flipper fine, but…

I love both but I'm going Gap Band. Especially that extended mix on the 12".

Both songs are pretty sexy - The Gap Band by a nose. FM Ace had an interesting connection to that band but it seems to have escaped me.

This year I learned that GAP stands for Greenwood, Archer, and Pine - streets in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, OK.

Gap Band were always kinda second tier, IMO, but 'Sex Bomb' is one of my least favourite Flipper songs.

Flipper > Gap Band, no question. But that's not what is being asked.

I guess 'You dropped...' begrudgingly gets my vote in this context.
