American Radio Personality: Howard Stern
2Not crap. Doing his best radio in years, thanks to the FCC witch hunt. As much of a fan as I've been for twenty plus years, I never thought that he had many populist bones in his body, despite the common folks' reverence for him, but over the last three months, I've become convinced that he's in this fight for all the right reasons, and that when he has an enemy, he retaliates with eloquence and genuine passion. The people who think the Stern show is all about farts, strippers and retards ought to tune back in.

I'm sorry, but every time (and I mean every time) I've tuned in, it has been about farts, strippers and retards. Oh and how many chicks someone banged. Maybe he is eloquent and well-spoken when pushed into a debate that largely revolves around what dollar amount he's being fined, but I haven't heard it.
CRAP.

I have. The show has made me piss my pants laughing, and it's also moved me to tears without being maudlin. Sure, it can be stupid and ridiculous, but it's never dumb. Plus, these guys have worked to put themselves in a position where they can do whatever the fuck they want -- and they do it. I certainly can't say that about my life. NOT CRAP.
NOTE: No Howard Stern in Boise. Thank you, Mormons.

6I'm going to have to say not crap. Although the show is just totally retarded sometimes, it is the only radio show I have ever listened to that is entertaining.

That's the thing with Stern. I'm a dedicated fan, and I freely concede that there's 40 to 90 minutes of every show that could be carved out and I wouldn't miss them. The best parts of the show tend to be the first two segments of the morning ( 6 to 7am, approximately ), and Robin's newscast, the last segment of the show. These usually rule because they occur either before or after the porn stars and wack packers roll through for their segments. They're also likely the time periods with the fewest listeners, because they air either before people with day jobs have left for work or after people are stuck at their jobs. When his potential audience is the largest ( 7:30 to 9 am ) is when he gets bogged down in the shock jock garbage that his critics focus on.
So, for me, definitely not crap, but I can understand anybody else pulling the crap lever on this one...

8not crap. I used to think the same as dylan, then I started listening every day. that crew is so damn funny. I like his attitude towards famous people, knocking them off their high horses.
that show has had me laugh so hard. the only thing I didnt like about him was how much he loved bush. but now he realizes the error of his ways and goes on these anti-bush tyrades that take a lot of balls to do in public.

9Not Crap, if only for his pre-E cable show. He did great TV (Homeless Hollywood Squares, having Larry Linnvile star in a gory, tasteless MASH skit, Lesbian Dating Game, etc.). I never heard his regular radio thing, but it has to be better than the syndicated "two Rock Guys" types of shows.

10He is done in about 6 weeks with his show. There have been times that I have laughed while listening to his show, although I am disgusted every time I hear him and his crew coaxing some girl into doing sexual things that she isnt comfortable doing. His show is not crap, with a high waffle factor. I couldn't really care less about his show ending, unless ofcourse what I hear is true about Adam Carolla taking his place. Then I would be looking forward to it
