Saw New Brutalism a while ago. They were good, but every song sounded like Shellac's cover of "Jailbreak." I wanted to yell "Hey, Albini called! He wants his guitar tone back! And Tar want their guitars back, too!" But those guys are way tougher than me and would probably beat me up.

I've never played one of these, but I always thought they looked pretty cool. http://www.industrialguitar.com/

Especially this one. http://www.industrialguitar.com/uzk_0837.jpg

the weight distribution is right on. i agree about the tb500s and also velenos tend to neck dive. the walls on the inside of the standard are thicker in the butt of the guitar and slimmer up front. the very brief headstock helps in balance as well. also at the end of the neck there is a solid block of aluminum that the bridge bolts onto...all in all the balance is perfect. i know im kissing my own ass now but the combination of pickups was very important too. the seymour duncan jb in the bridge gives a very bright loud output but not too loud nor too bright. it was the best pickup to get the most versatile sound out of that position. next the seymour 59 in the neck. i love these pickups. they sound fat but clear and mixed with the hollow aluminum body you can get the most beautiful jazz tones or really fat les paul type tones. i know it sounds too good to be true but you can get almost any sound out of this guitar.
a new site will be up soon...hopefully in the next couple of months. till then ill send whoever whatever they want to hear/see. please feel free to ask anything.
as far as an aluminum neck that bolts on...i dont know why someone would do that, it seems kinda pointless. they went so far only to half ass it on the easy end.

the electrical guitars look great. and yes, they are probably heavy, heavy like a bean, but the weight is worth it. i AM that guy from new brutalism, and yes, the guitars we produce are backbreaking. play one and you will realize why weight/mass is important. compare a hollow body valeno to a solid body bean, then compare both to a solid aluminum ABC. tone and sustain speak fro themselves. regardless of how critical it may be, any discussion of aluminum guitars is good. i think the electrical guitars look great, and I hope the ABC's can be great one day too if I can find more time to make them. if you want to see some pics click here-
