New York Pizza is like a thin, flaccid grease puddle. Chicago pizza is a thick, beefy juicy slice of greatness.

Strangely enough, the best pizza in the USA is at a place called Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, AZ.

And it's going to affect me very, very deeply if a bunch of fucking Midwesterners and New Yorkers disagree with me.

Ha ha. Arizona. Ha.

Being from Chicago, I can attest that the pizza here is atrocious. The only good pizza places here are ironically ones that emulate New York pizza (and sometimes the European style pizza, which is more like New York's).

Man, I can't believe I'm one of the few people here that loves the deep dish heart attack stuff.

However, I also really love the thin stuff too.

Fuck I even like NY style pizza, and European stuff too.

But when pressed, Chicago is my favorite (And impossible to find down here)

Amazingly I have managed to avoid a coronary and morbid obesity while consuming all of this pizza.

FWIW, Pizza Paradiso is closer to where you lived and way better than Armand's; I cant believe you never managed to eat there. If you judge DC pizza by a drunken late night Trio's or Adams Morgan Jumbo Slice, you have no one to blame but yourself. FFS man, there's a killer falafel place two doors down that your cheese addiction must have blinded you to. Unlimited toppings!

But as stated by others, DC is not a pizza town. Nope. We'll concede the greasy-ass field to y'all.

Trio's pizza wasn't so bad. But they stopped selling it out of that little walkup counter like 4 or 5 years ago. Did they start back up? They should. And their lasagna kicks ass.

Pizzeria Bianco is a nice reasonably successful attempt at a Brooklyn style brick oven pizzeria.

As such, it kills almost everything. But do not confuse the imitation with the original.
