342Some of these items listed below could be the culprit, if you've had the first frost already where you live: https://www.oakdaleent.com/will-hard-fr ... allergies/motorbike guy wrote: Wed Nov 24, 2021 6:59 amI always have allergies this time of year. I don't even know what I am allergic to - no plants are making pollen right now are they? Ech. Claritin-D and Benadryl will get me through.DaveA wrote: Tue Nov 23, 2021 2:24 pm Debilitating allergies. Hope this clears up before Turkey Day.
Am in the south. We've had some chillier days (like today) but no frost yet.
Whatever the cause of this, I look and feel like a corpse--more than usual. Am just glad not to have any pressing responsibilities.

343Well, it seems like you’ve neutralized any threat. What a prick.motorbike guy wrote: Wed Nov 24, 2021 7:00 amNeither really, Probably mostly a client. He works for another state agency. (i am in state government)

344Sending a letter of resignation to the job that's been frustrating as hell for at least half a year now feels reeeeeaaaaal good. Starting the new gig Jan 3rd, woohoo!
Re: Little Details from Your Day
345Congrats FM Penningtron! Now is a good time to make a change.
My details: Elder son home from college for the Thanksgiving weekend. My elderly parents also came for the weekend. Company was nice, homemade pies, turkey dinner, all that was great. UM beat OSU, which was even better. Not so great: Elder son brought college flu germs home and got everybody sick. He was all good by Sunday, the rest of us were laid low. Got tested on Saturday, no COVID, but still a bad cold, possibly flu. My wife is at home today creeping around in a blanket and still coughing. I got a flu shot a month ago, and I am feeling OK. Not great but good enough to go to work.
Get a flu shot, everyone!

347Congrats, BP! All the love to Kate.
Had shoulder surgery last Tuesday. Took one day off from work and was back at it by Thanksgiving. Thinking this was a big mistake. I'm a food/beverage purchaser for a high class workout facility. We're open on all holidays. Been at this job since April of this year and have been doing an excellent job of it. My shoulder situation has caused me to slow down and not be as efficient as I once was. As much as it pains me to say this stupid job has made me feel like part of a team. A lot of people depend on me, and I'm happy to go above and beyond my responsibilities. The members of our club pay a shitload of money to do whatever it is they feel like they have to do - especially on holidays - and my absence would be felt. I took it upon myself to come in on Thanksgiving and do the best I could. One of our coolers broke down so we had to move all of our produce to various other place in the facility. Ended-up using a vendors truck which is now parked in our dock to cool our most precious items. Everything's a mess. I'm not using my arm, but my other arm is working overtime and affecting the muscles that were repaired. I'm unsure if I fucked my arm up again, or if it's infected, but by Saturday morning my left bicep looked like it was repeatedly beaten with a bat (I also suffered many hugs on Friday night at the Nonagoon show). Regardless, my carelessness for my own well-being is prolonging the healing process. I think it's time to step back. I have a follow-up appointment this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

348Randy, please remember to take care of yourself!
The Suicide Prevention Nonprofit where I work is hosting a Giving Tuesday auction. There are tons of merchandise bundles from bands like Olivia Tremor Control, Elf Power, and Wilco. All proceeds go to benefit our mission of providing mental health care for musicians in the Athens area.

350Congrats FM Penningtron, say hi to FM Kayte R from us all.
I too have started a new gig. New old gig. I Left just before COVID and now everything's changed. Better contract and pay this time, though.
Also, who's got two thumbs and only has to look at a boiler to make it break?
Johnny Doglands, that's who.
