I just got an old Sony C38 (which I've wanted forever and am so fucking stoked to use) and the stand adapter is really big (I think Euro is usually 3/8, US is 5/8, Id guess maybe this is 3/4 or bigger?)

Does anyone have an idea of what I need to be able to screw this onto a stand?

EDIT - Never mind, I think it uses one of the old RCA ribbon mic adapters, and got it sorted.

Hahahaha. Well, it's either that or an old DOD FX17 (which is clunky as hell, bandmate had one 20 years ago) because I'm NOT spending $150 on a CV pedal!

i am a total noob so don't crucify me for this question. I understand it is stupid, but just can't find a comprehensible answer.

I have akg headphones that are really nice, you can hear all the details. however, when I listen to the track I made on the speakers, it sounds very thin and lacking in detail. how do I solve the problem???

Maybe some clarification needed, I can read this question two ways:

1. "I mixed my recordings with these nice headphones, but through speakers they sound thin"
2. "A track I mixed through speakers sound weak through the headphones"

I can say in advance that, especially as a noob, it's good to reference your recordings on several systems and try to get a mix that 'translates' reasonably well to all of them. A professional mastering job (which can be done affordably, and also a good learning experience) can help further narrow that gap.
