If we are talking of a medium for delivering the flavoring of the chip itself, both are prime candidates. If we are talking about a medium for delivering flavors beyond that of the chip itself, tortilla chip remains undisputed king. The structural integrity of a potato chip cannot withstand the weight of a good salsa or guacamole, not even a corrugated one (or "ruffled" if you will). You cannot make nachos from potato chips. I have witnessed simpletons attempt this fool's game, and their antics disgust me. Do not insult nachos in front of me.

I actually find the inconsistencies to be alluring, like a pizza with a crust that is not a perfect circle, half-burnt, and with a ton of air bubbles.
