Those things always looked awesome to me. How's it feel/sound?
Really Great. fret ends could stand to be rounded over a bit, but otherwise it feels great. Body is chambered so it feels like a cloud compared to my Les Paul custom. Action is great. Neck feels great. Bigsby is fun, though I typically prefer a hard tail (I think the bigsby definitely looks better than the chevron hard-tail on gretsches...maybe if it were reversed it would look better to me, I don't know)

Sound wise, I need to spend some more time with it. I've read various takes on the stock black top filter'trons that are already making me itch to upgrade them after some brief amped playing, but I honestly need to run it through it's paces more. All in all a really nice package.

I got a silver one earlier this year. I love it. A really playable resonant guitar. Like yours, the frets on mine needed a little work, but a decent set-up later, and it sings - a joy to play. I got it precisely because of the Bigsby. I'm sure the p/ups could be improved on, but for now, I'm leaving it be.

I emailed Ben asking about schematics or a bare replacement PCB, but he just said “send it back and I’ll fix it.” Forgot that he always had a lifetime warranty on his stuff. Was actually kinda looking forward to having another project to work on, but oh well.
The seller didn't realise this was an option? Did you get it for quite cheap?
Either way, score.
I think I saw that one on Ebay and was also tempted to pick it up and have Ben fix it, but I already own three versions of the Meatsmoke circuit (200 watt all tube head, rackmount preamp, pedal preamp) so that seemed a smidge excessive!
Finally got this thing back from Ben after almost 4 months. He was able to salvage the PCB and get it running again. Sounds great, gonna try it at full volume tonight at band practice.

This thing rules. I was worried the Ross mod might take away too much of the squish. When I reach for a Dyna Comp it's because I want a compressor as an effect, not super subtlety. Anyway, this one has plenty. And it is surprisingly quiet in terms of noise threshold.

This just reminded me that I have a grip of metal can CA3080s lying around. I ought to compress it up at some point.

Nice. If you have any matching 2SC1849 laying around, I'd strongly encourage you to try those with it as well.
