Yeah, he's fucked.
In other news, I saw Emperor Friday night.
While I felt Ihsahn could have been more kvlt regarding audience interaction, I couldn't help but think how his polite and grateful demeanor would have been appreciated by my Norwegian grandmothers.
Enjoy your lutefisk, and please have more casserole.

1102You were not “hacked.” You clicked the “OMG, I can’t believe who just died in an accident” link.

1104It's weird to me when customer service people ask what you're doing today. It makes me think asking when they get off would be a natural follow up, which would be super awkward. Surely this invasive friendliness isn't normal in other countries?

1108There ought to be a federal law that states that end users can decline all software updates. I get so sick of never being able to actually use software because it's perpetually updating. Video games are particularly evil at this.

Manufacturers have put up a big front on this, saying they know best.
I’m very torn. Users should be informed, but if there is a safety risk with the old software, am sorta on board with the update occurring without the user’s approval.
Actually, I have a lot of trouble with all of this on both sides, and it is what occasionally makes me want to throw it all away and live in the woods.
