Re: Industrial-Dome: Land of Rape and Honey vs VIVIsectVI

Listened to VIVIsectVI a few times since posting and I'm struck that while it is 100% a huge leap forward into more abstract and miasmatic realms (engaging w/ a level of artistry that their peers barely approached), but the technology can't quite keep up w/ their vision... I am convinced that it is an extraordinary record, however...

Yes, that record NEEDS to be heard w/ 'Breathe' as the opener and "TLoRaH" as the closer. Will always have a soft spot for the 'Power Supply' bootleg which has the complete set (but none of the post-production).

I've told this story before, probably on the old forum. There was a bar in Santa Barbara that had a jukebox that contained some MTV CD comp that contained "Stigmata" from LR&H. So we put $10 in the jukebox, programmed it to play Stigmata 30 times in a row, and left the bar after the first play; we went down the block to another bar. We returned 30-45 minutes later, hoping to find a more aggressive energy having taken over the bar, but the jukebox had been unplugged. The bartenders had a CD player they could use and they switched to that input.
Once was a guy named Steve (no relation) who, whist out of his mind on biker sherbet in the early 90s, put TV II on eight times in a row at the Century Tavern and stood in front of it soaking it up.
"lol, listen to op 'music' and you'll understand"....
