I like Morrissey's singing, but Johnny sounds great on this.

I like Morrissey's singing and The Smiths' original version, but I think this cover - and Marr's voice in particular - sounds awful, completely soulless and empty, so I guess that's all the major quadrants of take ticked off now.

Jesus, that’s brilliant. I fucking hate Mozza’s voice and… him. Marr’s singing is way better on this than the Smiths version. I’d happily go to a Marr show just playing Smiths tunes.

Would go to see this live.. I don’t disagree that it’s a bit soulless but 1) it’s kind of the nature of the song and 2) it’s a recording without an audience.

Instrumentation is spot-on.

Moz will be playing not far from me in Waukegan in a couple of months (assuming it is not cancelled) but I really have no interest in giving him my money.

Morrissey tried to reunite The Smiths for a (cash-grab) tour next year, and Johnny posted a pic of Nigel Farage, basically telling Moz to fuck off. A true British treasure, that man.

If JM does a Smiths tour, I'm there. This sounds great.

"Mile End" by Pulp. My wife loves this band so I get to hear them when we take her car. Other than this track I don't care for them at all.

I really dislike Blur (hate is just for Coldplay and a couple artists more) but there's this track on Modern life is rubbish, can't remember the title of it, very shoegazey, vg.
