I had only heard about/listened to some of this last weekend for the first time. It's just ok. Even by 2001 it seems like an idea that's been done better by many others before.

There was a period several years ago when I couldn’t get to sleep unless I listened to The Disintegration Loops . I loved falling into a half-sleep during the full loop and waking up to the decayed remnant. It’s a great thing to listen to while lapsing into and out of consciousness.

The concept is heavier than the mass of the finished product. I have a pretty big appetite for this sort of thing but this particular project does little for me. It's a little TOO empty and ambient for my tastes and I feel like I get bored with it as soon as it starts.... FF ahead an hour, yep still doing it... FF ahead an hour, yep there it is... Hour later still going. Not much here.
