Thanks for the explanation. . being an addict myself, I've seen way too many good people die from the use of drugs and alcohol, and I often take it a little too personal, forgetting the nature of the disease entirely.

The repressed, puritanical voices thing...thank you much for that. I also hate that and copped many resentments against such ignorance in my youth and still cringe to hear it to this day. I can't believe I have become that crying parent that tells me if I cared about them I would quit, or the judge that threatens me with jail..... the wasted breath of mortals was hardly sufficient to keep me from getting loaded.......

While some may find it hard to believe...I compare cocaine use to joining a fraternity (sometimes these two go hand in hand). Hmmm, pay lots of money to hang out and listen to people i really don't care about blather on and on, or, pay lots of money to hang out with people who are supposedly are my friends after they shit on me and make me eat goldfish. Tough choices,,,I swear.
