okay, I've never actually heard the band, but that was begging to be done. I cast a null vote.

I was listening to Gop ist Minee this morning on the way to work. VERY not crap.

Has anyone heard the new one?

I'll be seeing XBXRX in Pensacola soon.

Nuees Ardentes are my favorite semi-local band. ALWAYS worth seeing. I had no idea the drummer was in XBXRX until a few weeks ago. I heard he moved to Atlanta about a month ago, though.

The new record is great. I've always been sorta on the fence about these guys based on their first album (I like it sometimes, othertimes it really bugs me), but the new album sounds pretty awesome after a cursory first listen. I think I can get into it a lot more than Gop Ist Minee.

The album art is pretty tits, too.

So yeah, they very, very quietly released an album last year, as I didn't hear anything about it until I picked it up a couple weeks ago. Finally getting around to my first listen, and the first song is well, MELLOW by comparison to their other stuff. Kind of awesome and cinematic so far. Sweet growth for a strange band. Dig it.

The record is called "Sounds". It kinda looks like an argyle sock.

I once walked 20 minutes to see them play for ten minutes.

Not because they're so awesome they're worth walking for; it was just a really nice day and we decided to walk. We were unfamiliar with their work.

They should have spelled it "Xoundx."

Naming your band after a Microsoft games console: Crap.

I went to see this band without knowing anything about them. It was ok. I can't really recommend them.
