I'm not willing to completely reject anything using AI as slop. If you are using AI to weird out some video as an effect or make weird key backgrounds, shit like that, its really not much different as any photoshop filter or the like, You still gotta edit and create something out of it. That isn't to say that there is definitely more slop than not, but I don't think as a tool, it is doomed to be void of artistry. Power of compute is an issue, but like Crypto (which I am fundamentally crap towards) the energy problem is mostly a Green Energy problem. Build a windmill powered AI server farm and get back to me.
