Their new single 'isn't bad'.

I'd even go so far to say that, had they resisted the mainstream temptations of adding three gazillion overdubs* it would even be a 'quite good' song.

*Why oh why do mainstream bands, producers and label exec's think that the presence of little snippets of cymbals going backwards will make the difference between success and failure?

The Heinrich Maneuver?

I thought it was ok when i first heard it and now completely bored by it.
I was very disappointed in their new album.
A couple of ok songs
but on the whole--didn't like it.

I liked their previous two albums

I like the first album alright. The second album is ok. Now it's the same old shit again for album number three. They weren't that interesting to begin with and they've just kept the same thing up for years. These are my same feeling towards Clinic. Some sort of progression should have happened by now.

The new record is their worst to date, but the few good tracks on it are...good.

I don't understand the taming of the rhythm section - seems like a retarded move.

Still NOT CRAP, but heading in the wrong direction.

I do, Tom, I do. And you're sure not deleting this one:

actually you might be right about their rhythm section being impressive adam. i heard their bassist is the gene simmons of chubby myspace girls. that's quite impressive.

the funny thing is i've never even heard an interpol song. i have this new system whereby i never have to listen to music at all. it's astounding how successful it is. try it for yourself guys, seriously. all you do when someone recommends a band is put their name into google image search and from the first couple of pictures you have to decide if you like them. the weird thing is the system is 100% accurate. seriously, i need you to try this.
