"from her to eternity," "your funeral my trial," and "the first born is dead" are great.

i love "kicking against the pricks" too.

From Her To Eternity is watered down Birthday Party. I own it and even listen to it on occasion, but it doesn't really hit me where I live. 'Your Funeral, My Trial' is average by my reckoning. After that I can't find a pulse.

The Birthday Party in 1982 were as ferociously psychotic a spectacle as I will ever live to see on a stage. Sure, Mission of Burma were terrific and are still really, really good, but come on. The Birthday Party.

you're not listening right.

listen to the control of tension in the title track, cabin fever, and st. huck. it has more dynamic than the birthday party.

the rest is a little more melodic than the birthday party.

not finding a pulse means you're looking in the wrong place. because it sure as shit ain't dead.

To very different bands, but I'd go with the demented feel of The Birthday Party.
