The live album Weld is some badass Neil Young, especially for all you Ragged Glory fans.
The live "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World" though sounds pretty neutered. Too slow or something. Nothing like the balls-out SNL performance.

22Not Crap at all. even with the bad ones.
I'm listening to TRANS right now.
neil young + vocoders = crap travelling so fast it bypasses crap 3 times and becomes golden experimental not crap.

I saw that one- great.
Ashleeee Simpson should watch that to see how musicians can like, totally play a song without having the words pumped in.

24def. not crap....
Neil still gives me the chills when I hear certain songs...
Crazy Horse is a great honest to goodness rock and roll band. Technically not that good but mucho soul....my kinda R&R.
The world would be a far less enjoyable place to live if Canada didn't spit NY out of it's ugly womb.

25Oh yeah- Greendale.
That album is pretty ho-hum, but it has one of his better songs on it, 'Bandit'. The acoustic DVD that came along w/ it was so much better. He should've just done it like that. Fuck the Horse, they can't keep time.

26Best intro to any song: Cortez the Killer
Best ending to any song: Cinnamon Girl
Best use of Linda Ronstadt on any recording: Harvest
Best use of steel guitar on any album: Harvest
Best album name of all time: Rust Never Sleeps
This is just a starter. How can all these bests = CRAP?

"See the Sky About to Rain" from On the Beach gives me the chills everytime I hear it.

28I did fall asleep twice during the Greendale concert, but Neil is Not Crap.
I love that record, Don't Be Denied, Last Dance, L.A. I went through two copies.
Great drumming by ex-Turtle John Barbata.
Neil Young must really hate it, it's one of the few that haven't been re-issued.
I hope they finally reish Time Fades Away

That reminds me. I have a record with Neil Young w/ R.E.M. playing "Ambulance Blues" (and then R.E.M.'s "Country Feedback").
It's from the 1998 Bridge School Benefit.
I wish that I had a time machine.

30My last semester of college is a total blur, only three things pushing through the fog to remain discernible: massive intake of marijuana, countless all-night bouts of poker and euchre, and innumerable spins of Tonight's the Night. That's about as good as Indiana gets, folks.
Neil Young is Not Crap, and even when he is, like Lou Reed and Prince, he's still very interesting crap.
