Booze is so much more pleasant and social than marijuana. Plus, drunk stories are always far more interesting than pot stories.

Booze is more social. I can control exactly how drunk I want to be versus how high I want to be. One hit of pot and I'm a paranoid blob in the corner.

also, i voted pot, it makes me smart and keeps me careful (read: paranoid) booze does the opposite and though it's legal it's somehow gotten me into more trouble.

Every drunk is well versed with the dangers of booze. None of them pretend that it's harmless.
Every pothead, on the other hand will chew your ear off at length telling you about how 'no-one has died because of pot' (always forgetting about all the gangs that gun each other down in the car parks of rest stops on the M4 over kilos of the shit), despite the fact that they can't get up in the morning, hold down a job, concentrate on a book for more than two pages, and generally don't have that great a social life.
I wholeheartedly agree and basically share the exact experiences.
