If I were called My Isabelle Romance and bore an uncanny musical resemblance to My Chemical Romance which creeped a lot of people out (same esoteric eyeliner as Gerard Way also, an obvious giveaway), then it would be really funny though, no? Cruel, because no doubt i'd be really embarrassed, but funny for everyone else.

Tommydski, how could you say such cruel things about me when you know that I am so emo? Now i'm not going to eat for days until I feel pretty again.

So a better gag would've been to upload Bertine Zetlitz's 2006 album My Italian Greyhound and pass that off, you're saying? I agree.

Listen to Glenn Branca's "Bad Smells." About 3/4 of the way through...there's the Futurist, at least to my ears.

Shellac is really hard to pin down. There's bits and pieces here and there that sound like other things, but the reason I love Shellac is that you only find those bits and pieces if you're a total fucking loser nerd like me.

Every band is influenced by what came before it, obviously. But the truly great bands are the ones that eventually get used to describe other bands. You hear "____ sounds like Shellac" more often than "Shellac sounds like____" for a reason. And yeah, that's why they rule.

There is a huge difference between being influenced and blatantly ripping off someone else's unique sound. I think this Technician band are a fucking joke.
