Cocaine is great stuff. I really like the high (I am not really a user of drugs--well, alcohol). Someone above noted that the people one is usually around when doing coke can be annoying, but I have never really run in those circles (okay, there was the time in Pittsburgh '87 that involved myself and two Pitt med students throwing snowballs at CMU students--dumb). I will vouche for the played out day-after feeling.

All in all--CRAP. It simply isn't good for you and it does help the idiot jerk in your personality scratch at the surface. I doubt I will ever use it again as the last time (the first in more than 10 years) I was up all night chewing gum til it hurt (still didn't stop) and then showed up to the last practice before tour only to essentially collapse on the flour after playing the set through once.

I guess I've had good times on coke, but the meh times and the times that I've been a complete dick are surely greater in number. Certainly the wasted hours of filthy, jittery, nervous recovery are greater in number.

The problem with coke is that unless everybody you're with (see record company folk) is on coke, there are going to be some people who find you really annoying. And if everybody is on coke then everybody might as well not be on coke.

If that makes any sense.

Need we go over Faces of Meth again? Meth is infinitely worse than coke; it's cheaper because it's made from dangerous household chemicals rather than plants from south america.

People on coke stay up late talking shit and dancing; tweakers stay up late picking their face, cleaning, stealing from their grandmothers, and being paranoid pieces of shit.

Cocaine is crap, but meth is crappier.
