It's a Strat for me. Objectively not the single best guitar in the world, and probably the least exotic all told, but it feels damn comfy to play. The fretboard is easy to traverse and the body's contours are agreeable. Still own the nineties, made in USA Strat Plus I got in high school. Am putting new strings on it as we speak.

I wanted to like the Les Paul but like someone else said up thread they’re uncomfortable. I get a very similar humbucker sound that I want from the SG. I like Strats for their comfort and for their sound for certain things but SG just satisfies me.

I’ve never had a Tele but I think I want one. With humbuckers of course.

Have 3 of these, in order:

Les (Studio, not fucked with)
Tele (Squier, DiMarzio JB in rear)
Strat (Dave Murray Sig, killer guitar, just don't play it much.

Les Paul.

Love the tele. Straight up no nonsense takes a beating prole guitar. I can't be dealing with five different pickup settings.

Stratocaster, it can do anything.

This is mine. I massively prefer it to a 3 pickup layout. Doesn't sound much like a tele or a jazzmaster; it's it's own thing. Recomended!

that looks like the ideal guitar to me.

Tele-Sexy as hell, a true jolie-laide. I have no business playing them even though I have two
LP- I have just acquired a Univox LP copy and it is quickly becoming my favorite, though haven't got to run it through my loud amp yet.
Strat- boring as hell to me, but probably the most functional and easy to play. It should be my number one.

Yeah, that looks great! I've tried a similar thing, but maybe since my pickup covers were white I thought it looked too empty, so I just put the old pickguard back and kept an unwired middle pickup in.

That control layout rules.
