Had to get another of those
plug-and-play trays.
Because of last year's campout, I bought two for my backline 4x12s. Some of you might have seen in them in
Campout video footage. Anyway, someone brought a head that only worked w/ 8 ohm cabs & my cabs were hard-wired to 4 ohms as all my heads can do this w/ no issues. Anyway, that won't be a problem ever again.
Finally got around to installing them this weekend but unfortunately I think I may have damaged one of them somehow when inserting a slightly bent speaker cable into it? Or maybe it's defective from mfg which seems strange since they're simple enough but the jacks are those plastic ones. Ohms test only gave me 8 & 8 like it was being in stereo instead of 4 ohms mono...and the 16 ohms input was coming back as open. I swapped the two between cabs and behavior follows. One tray jack works perfectly, the other does not.
I was thinking about re-wiring the individual jacks w/ recovered standard input jacks but said screw it since they're not that expensive.
