So I finally have some time to scan a bunch of old film that I shot of "artistic" motorcycles - artistic is in quotes because it was sort of unclear as to whether the curator thought these were mechanically artistic or aesthetically artistic (I think motorcycles are both, across the board.)

Holy hell is the Ducati 750 Super Sport a gorgeous piece of sculptural transportation.

Motorcycles, not crap. And I'm under the impression that they're not loud, annoying things unless you make them that way, kinda like a "pimped" Honda Civic.

I couldn't agree more with you burun. I sometimes wonder if some of the classic designers really knew what they were doing. I mean, did they know they were artists, or did they just think of their designs from a purely mechanical (i.e., it'll get the job done) point of view?

How'd your new battery work out?

Hey I think a friend of mine in MA found me a CB-somethin-a-rather for free.

I need to learn how to ride a motorcycle...

Fine. The older Battery Tenders don't put out enough juice to keep that battery charged, so it crapped out.

Not everyone passed.

I took the BRC in June and I'll say thank god some of the people didn't pass. Mototrcycles aren't for everyone. I have only owned a cycle since April and the class was invaluable, I feel much more confident out there and much MUCH more wary of everyone in a car. Yeah the figure 8s were weird but I guess a lot of drops happen at slow speeds, U-turns etc. I now ride to work (9 miles each way) two or three days a week. I love it.

Oh and Burun, those pics are really sweet!

My father had this bike. Roundcase, fuel window - the whole nine. I used to ride on the tank. It was insane. He sold it like a jackass.

Rub it in, man. One day when I have a squillion dollars, I will buy one.

Just you wait.
