I've seen the trailer for this and it looks badass.

From "http://www.documentarychannel.ca/docs/listing.asp?StartLetter=Strip%20Club%20DJs&id=409"

Part psychiatrist, part puppet master, part babysitter, the DJ is most often the unlikely engine behind the strip club machinery. In his film Strip Club DJs, Derrick Beckles explores the critical and complex role DJs play in the bump-and-grind world of live adult entertainment in Canada. The best keep their dancers motivated and their patrons happy while dealing with problems, opportunities and benefits inherent in their unique workplace: drugs, overt and covert sexual activity, fights, scurrilous customers and their bodily fluids. It’s a pole-swinging ride through the harsh and often hilarious realities of this sleaziest of professions in Canada’s most notorious strip clubs. Good unclean fun!

Oh, but doesn't that make you want to get in there and rescue a few of them?

All true.
Spoken from experience.
And, CRAP.

Obviously, I didn't and knew that I couldn't. Otherwise I wouldn't be speaking of the dead and ruined lives.

Fuck all y'all.

mmmmm... Home Run Inn, I miss that place! There is NO good pizza up here!

But, I digress, it's titties we talkin' about.
I have been to plenty of strip clubs for one reason or another, never worked at one, never had a lap dance. I have had a good time at them and a bad time. I m not affected at all by them... of course I grew up seeing street hookers and transvestites in my neighborhood as a little kid, it's all just a fact of life.

The words you "guys" use "depressing", "seedy", "prostitution" -- please!?!?! I am shocked! It's not like in the days of Barretta. There are very nice places and lousy ones. Watching a girl swin on a pole while Danzig is playing, ain't so bad. As Ron Jeremy says, these are girls who would be working in a deli if it wasn't for stripping or porn, instead they are pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. They DON'T need anyone's pity or rescue!

My advice -- stay out of Portland -- the most strip clubs of anywhere -- it's like mexican food and dancers, pizza and dancers, laundrymat and dancers, etc. and so on.
