Tickets go on sale precisely two weeks before kick-ff - so that'll be Saturday 11th August at 3pm. There is a view of the river. Tickets will be about £22 - ouch! There might be a party at myself and Dindon's place that night - one will see! Why am I making you watch Leeds? Because suffering is character building.

In this month's issue, there was a great article about the Marseille corruption scandal and another one about the differences in youth development in European countries. There was also a supplement about Sunday League football, which was fantastic. I am going to play football again next season. Pre-season starts here.

I think I am going get a subscription for FourFourTwo. I recommend it, would read again A++++++++, etc.

edit: I downloaded the Inter-Sampdoria game. Almost as good as an Edinburgh derby!

I remember my friend! We discussed this over a beer in a little café in Nice... what a pleasant afternoon it was! £22 to go and see a match in the English Third Division - c'est dégoutant! C'est les escrocs, je te jure.

But then, when you pay Neil Lennon £22,000 a week to play in the Third Divison....

This is outrageous. Especially for a team in the third division. The prices have gotten out of hand. I keep thinking it would be nice to be back in the U.K. so that I could go see a match or two, but truth is, I wouldn't be able to afford it.

There really needs to be a wage cap. It's just gotten out of control.

Thanks for the words about FourFourTwo Nico Adie, if I find a few spare pounds I'll take a look. At the moment I'm growing to like ESPN's football coverage at www.soccernet.com. Their gamecast's got me through the games of the last World Cup played during work hours, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this article today.

It's always slightly curious that when the season is over and LUFC are no longer involved, my interest in football always increases. I suddenly feel a need to immerse myself in the game; right now, I'm wondering how much of the Copa America I'll be able to download over the internet and how worthwhile that would be.

Leeds United have annouced reduced ticket prices this season: it looks like I can take in a game for around £20, as long as it's in the lowest category of opposition. That is, of course, about £15 too much, but I might wander down a couple of times. The prices are comparable to what Blackburn Rovers are charging for games against the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool next season, which is ridiculous.

I'm broadly up for this Forest v Leeds game, let's talk about that nearer the time.
