Wrong.

Poor wording--superthin, cracker-crust pizza came from here. Via Italy. It's not unique to Chicago. But it's not NY pizza.

Chicago is a superior food town to NYC.
So wrong.

No, I'm right about that.

The best pizza ever is not in the United States. The best pizza ever is in Etnea, Sicily, at Via Catania. Jesus H. Christ, that's some incredible fucking pizza. Fucking A. Shit.

Is there an option for neither?

I prefer the real naples style pizza. thin crust.

I've had the good stuff in other cities besides CHI and NYC- D.C. for example has some really good pizza places. Philly has some good places too. However neither city is known for pizza, so it's an unfair comparison. I've also had the stuff in Italy and it shames me to eat the american version.

Chicago deep dish pizza is akin to eating a cheese stomach covered in bland tomato sauce. NYC stuff might be a little better, but it ain't all that.

I prefer, er, Italian pizza.

I had the atomica and it was fantastic. They also have the most extensive and descriptive beer menu I have ever seen. Go ahead look at the print out version and you'll see what I mean.

You see, that looks about right.

Fuck deep pan, fuck thick crust, both of them. Right in the ass.

The above restaurant looks awesome though. Pizza how it should be made - and what an incredible selection of beer!

Can you find me the equivalent restaurant in Nottingham, UK please? If there isn't one, open it.

Truth: Latin Americans make the best NYC pizza.

When in NYC if you see Latinos making the pizzas, that's the indicator of good pizza.

Growing up on the east coast, pizza hut introduced their version of a chicago style pizza. To my 12 year old taste buds, it was good. Wouldn't eat it now though.

Will have to try one of the higher end deep dish places next time I'm in Chicago. Any recommendations?

A good slice is far and few between here in Philly. There's a few in walking distance for me (Lorenzo's and the new "Slice" which I give a B+) Lorenzo's is more NYC style and Slice is more neapolitan.

NYC seems to benefit from the vast number of decent places. for the most part they are all good, but it seems recently esp. around NYU there's loads of bad ones.

This might be heresy, but Chicago style gets the nod for creativity.

Please allow me to telling these story:

I am in Chicago in March for these tribute show of Silkworms. So nice. At these show, the beautiful Kyle Sowash, he tells me and my beautiful girlfriend of these Chicago stuffed pizza. Kyle makes much excited talking of these crazy faghina pizza and how we must to trying it, so the next night we buy these thing and take to motel. I make one bite of these pizza, and porco dio! The cheese, much of the cheese, she jump right into the throat with no chew and I am to choking! I am one minute making the phone talk to bandmate who just arrives back in Memphis, Italia, and next minutes am to make the serious choking!! I cannot breathe through the mouth or make talking! The girlfriend, she says some things to me, but I cannot hear these thing because of choke. Maybe is "why for you making these stupid noise?" I don't know! Finally, I am to make stop the choke. I am to "leave out" the details of these process.

New York! I am to folding and eating many slices of your pizza in your city! Is nice!

Faghina crazy Chicago pizza! She almost kills me dead in the motel room! My vote is for you!!

I just wanna state for the record that you people talking about good pizza in DC were obviously not just eating pizza while there but were also smoking a lot of crack. In the three years I lived in DC, I only came across one place that had good pizza, Armand's, which was west of the park and thus way out of my way. I only had it maybe two or three times, which is almost the number of times I was west of the park.

DC pizza is ass.

For another DC joint with a great berrs selection, check out the Brickskeller. It holds the Guiness Book record for the most berrs. Over a thousand.

OVER 1,000 DIFFERENT BERRS.

When I was there, it was unbearably smoky. Sure that's not a problem now.

Ha. Jokes on you! She's dead. You were eating decroded mangina, you east coast failure. I could see how you couldn't tell the difference, though, being that you eat foul crap that passes for good pizza.

How d'ya like them apples?

I thought something was a little "off"... oh well.
