I've never met someone w/ a "bike" who wasn't a born and bred attention whore.

Show me someone who "rides" a "bike" who isn't an attention whore? I dare anyone to try and prove me wrong.

And on that note, a former rider at work sold his motorcycle boots to a coworker, no bites yet on his fucking gay ass duccati

what kind of sad sack buys used boots? i don't understand it

Who buys used boots? Me. Lots of people. What's to not understand?

I wont debate a blanket off base label like attention whore on people I dont know, its impossible to defend my stance, but in my world I have yet to be proven wrong and whenever I tell a friend about someone they sort of know that I discover "rides" the response is always "figures, thats no surprise".

Here is what I don't understand about used boots... they were on someone else's sweaty feet... why would you want them on your feet too?

Germ is far from attention-seeking too.

Some of us just like to ride motorcycles. Most of my cycle-owning friends are just like me. We just like to ride motorcycles because it's cheap and fun transportation, and/or we like machinery.

I have plenty of used clothing too. I wash it first. As for boots, yes, you clean them first.

So, do you carry around disinfectant before you touch doorknobs, handles, etc? Those are much germier than a pair of boots.

touching doorknobs? ROFL who does that? again I can't defend my baseless sweeping generalization, I can only say that I've never met a Rider who wasnt one.. I have yet to meet them all. I've only known like 20 "riders" in my life so obviously an extremely small sample size.

And nobody rides a motorcycle because its an alt/eco/cheap means of transport, please at least be honest.

You think I sometimes ride a Honda XL250 because I want to be seen? Do you think that the fact that it gets about 75MPG has nothing to do with it?

This past year the amount of small motorcycles and scooters has really risen dramatically around this town. You think they're all egomaniacs? That the expensive parking downtown has nothing to do with it?

You obviously have some weird deep-seated hatred of motorcyclists. You would be best off to not bother looking at motorcycle threads of any sort.
