Type O's tongues were planted firmly in their cheeks and they're known for their out-of-pocket covers (Summer Breeze, Cinnamon Girl, Pictures of Matchstick Men), they would've totally done a pisstake collaboration with some horrorcore goofballs and played it as straight as a heart attack.
I actually love that cover of "Summer Breeze." It apparently pissed off Seals & Crofts, which only adds to it.

In my head I was like “why the hell is this thread popping to the top again?”

Then I realised ya’ll are PRFing it.

Actually, now that I give it more thought, Type O Negative and Wreckx-n-Effect would have been a hell of a lot funnier. Or maybe K7, for a dash of sabor.

Then again, I did once see Peter Steele interviewed on Screw magazine editor Al Goldstein's late-night public-access quasiporn talk show, Midnight Blue, so maybe not as far-fetched as it sounds.

Most of the artists we've mentioned in the last few posts, rap and rock/punk alike, were heavy hitters on The Box (the UHF all-request music-video channel) during the time period in question.

I don't remember ever hearing this, and I definitely never saw that movie, but I do have a soft spot for Atari Teenage Riot . . . still. Was way into their music circa 1997, and some time afterwards, and caught them live three times. The first show was at an amphitheater in Tinley Park, where ATR opened for Wu-Tang (who I think still included ODB then) and RATM; I was there to see ATR. The second show was at the Rave in Milwaukee with Ec8or and Shizuo opening, as part of the Digital Hardcore U.S. tour. And the third time was in Chicago with Don Cab and Add N to (X) opening. I suppose ATR won't get loads of love on the PRF, but those first couple of records and the adjacent singles are good enough for me to hold onto, and I've gotten rid of all kinds of music. I also still like Alec Empire's album Generation Star Wars. And his D.H.R. Limited 12" under the name Deathfunk has some cool things on it, like this:

There's more where that came from.

Anyway, Judgement Night.

Yeah, see, whatever criticisms you could level at the Judgement Night soundtrack, at least it still qualifies as music.

The above is like a psyop, it's so bad.
