Is there anything like that you'd recommend?
If all you are looking for is a footswitch to max the feedback/repeats, there are a lot of them: Caroline Kilobyte, Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe, Walrus ARP-87, Strymon El Capistan (has a feedback hold but you can also assign any knob to an expression pedal), etc.

BUT, if you want something a little more wacky, the DOD Rubberneck comes to mind but I'm sure there a couple of newer ones out there.

I have installed jacks on a few delay pedals that uses a synth sustain pedal to just short the Feedback pot and go full throttle. Usually space to dig in where the battery goes, and I don't use batteries. You can do it to any delay pedal that isn't using some kind of encoder controller. You could also install the same style of jack to feed the out back into the in of any pedal and make it freak out, especially flangers and shit.

Speaking of flangers, if you have a flanger (maybe a chorus too) you don't care about, there are trim pots inside that control the delay and feedback, you can crank those and they will sound like BLUBBABLUBBABLUBBA SKWREEEEEEEEEE! If you ever want it to sound the old way again, mark the original settings or you will never get it back

Don't say the Astral Destiny, it has too many features.
Only thing I can think of that's even close would be Boss RV-6 - only 4 knobs & one is a selector type. The only thing is that I'm pretty sure the exp controls overall reverb mix/amount and not just singling out the shimmer if that's what you are looking for.

Yeah, and I remember the Shimmer mode on the RV-6 was kind of "meh."

I feel like the Catalinbread Cloak is what I'm feeling after sound/function-wise, but damn if only it had the EXP input...

Well if there's one you like, what you could do would be a Boss LS-2 + a volume pedal and the cloak in the loop. This would be fine for recording but a lot of space taken up on your pedalboard and probably an additional $100 to the cost if you don't own those components already.

It also would not allow you to add just the shimmer if that's what you were looking to do, which I could see that being a totally useful function...but to work around THAT you could have a normal reverb outside the loop.

I think you can do this with the Alexander Sky 5000 using an expression pedal for the Morph. It has a knob for shimmer (in +1 or -1 mode the reverb knob acts a strength of octave effect). You can morph between a setting with zero shimmer and a setting with the max amount of shimmer you want. Or you could morph between a non shimmer mode and shimmer...

EDIT: Actually, the Space Race might be an even better choice if you don't want the option of simultaneous delay (or not) and more reverb algorithms. You can morph between Tweak setting in the Shimmer mode. Andy does it at the end of his demo of it.

Could you send a headphone signal and instrument signal through the same cable? Or would the lightly-amplified signal coming from a headphone amp screw this up? My concern is that if it were like 4 or 5 conductor cable, there would be interference of some kind since nothing would be shielded from each other in this instance.

I'm basically trying to solution a way to get an in-ear signal and guitar output on the same cord w/ out something as wonky as zip ties & two cables (doesn't coil nicely and feels like too much stress on the cable). Two separate cables is strangely way more tripping hazard than the math would suggest, but everyone who's tracked in headphones in a studio knows this already.

This cable does exactly what I want but gets bad reviews for longevity (which should be zero surprise considering who owns this company now). I was thinking 5 pin XLR on both ends into the smallest possible splitter box. So clipped to guitar strap or belt, the guitar would have a short plug-in and then the in-ears too & the multi-conductor cable sends it down to the pedal board side, there to be split back out in to the pedalboard for the guitar and the headphone amp.
