Pretty self-explanatory. I personally try to stay away from this rotten, rotten stuff. I'd rather have a Sparks.

That initial rush? NOT CRAP! What IS crap is the feeling the next day, the company you keep if you're on it (generally a bunch of self-absorbed assholes), the cost (financially and physically) and the overt fact that doing coke is a big fuckin' 70's cliche -- which is probably part of the appeal to hipster suburbanites who love to talk about using coke (in public places, natch) more than they actually even use.

So in the end, complete crap.

I'm a lawyer, and I'm an LA native. Based solely on those two facts, I imagine that you could all guess that my vote is NOT CRAP, even though I don't use the stuff. I like it for the nicknames:

Coke
Toot
Blow
Columbian marching powder

Besides, it's not meth. In this part of the country, any drug that's not meth is not crap.

(A funny story about coke and meth: I was interning at the public defender's office in Riverside, CA, one of the main centers in the U.S. for methamphetamine production. Pretty much everybody that gets busted for drugs in Riverside is a meth head. Well, so I was working in dope court, talking to a defendant up on felony drug possession charges. I looked at his toxicology screen: cocaine. "Cocaine?" I asked the guy, "You must not be from Riverside."
"No," he responded, "I'm from LA. How'd you know?"
"Because you're not a tweaker, dude."

CRAP.

Singer of my former band would use thinking we couldn't tell. During our last show he forgot most lyrics, pranced around in a manner resembling a cross between Bez (sp?)(happy mondays) and one of the Oasis brothers (really embarrasing), and then started clapping to the songs in an Ozzy sort of way but about 10-15 bpm faster than then drums and totally screwed up the bass player who could only hear the clapping.

Having practice or a recording session with someone coming down the next day is even worse.

It makes people stupid and arrogant at the same time. Not a good combination.

Crap. The effects of long term use are just beginning to tax our Health Care system, and the coke babies from the 80's are beginning to flow into the prison system.

Aside from the human misery and tragedy, we get to PAY for it all.

CRAP!

two drunk guys are driving a car and they crash into a tree, and the one driving says to the other one, " I gotta stop driving"
Same scenario with two cokeheads and they just look at each other and go" shhh, don't tell anybody"
two speed freaks: " dude, we can fix it!"
two junkies: fuck it, it wasn't our car anyway"

Hate to harsh y'alls collective mellow, but drugs are nothing nice, drugs are abused by selfish, selfcentered, delusional, emotionally immature, scared, sick people...some of which do not even know there is a way out.

But, 'to each his own' ...just don't use the word party as a verb...please

cocaine is a chemical substance, just like any other substance. i don't think anyone could say that cocaine is a worse chemical than, for example, mercury, which harms people who are not knowingly injesting it. i believe that cocaine costs non-users money through taxes, but so does smoking. $7.75 per pack was what i last heard.

crap? not when i took it.
