Heavy Vegetable was great! But he's had so many damn side projects (in addition to Pinback) over the years that I kinda lost interest.

I listened to it a couple of times on my phone and thought it was ok. Then I listened to it with better headphones and thought it was outstanding. Give the song its due. It’s got the weird Heavy Vegetable phrasing with the chunky Reis playing. Vocals are standard upper-register Crow, which is good, because that’s how he sings it live. I’m gonna give it a hard NC. Looking forward to the LP.

I love it, but then I was always going to, Reis and Crow together again for the very first time, that's like some Lennon/McCartney level meeting of minds for me.

Love the engineering too, Ben Moore is great

Rob is almost a god to my ears. I adore literally every project he's involved in. Love Swami too. I'm very much stoked for this.

The compression or something on the new one makes me feel really quite dizzy. I really like their Tar-meets pop use of colliding chords, but I can't listen that that new one. It's almost like that sickness one (can't be just me) gets from one side being accidentally phase reversed, but it can't be that or it'd be largely silent on phone speakers etc!
