I maybe like all this stuff MORE than I did in my teens / twenties, esp Ritual and the live Ministry records.
Same.

Jane's Addiction for sure.

Ministry's latest efforts have been quite embarrassing, but they have a higher ratio of good output to bad.
Jane's Addiction have tipped the scales way towards crap since Nothing's Shocking and Ritual.
DIY and die anyway.

I lol'd at that too.

Haven't paid attention to either of these bands in forever. Saw Jane's back in 1991 at a small arena and it was a great show. Eric Avery's bass playing gets a firm NC, that band would've been nowhere without him. Navarro the dude is crap but I gotta give his guitar playing a NC, solid rhythm and quite entertaining solos.

That Deconstruction record wasn't half bad either. Been ages since I put it on but I recall it holding up ok.

All I know of Ministry is Psalm 69, which means I don't know very much.

Seeing Jane's Addiction before they got massive was one of my favorite shows.

I'd throw on old Ministry before throwing on old Jane's Addiction - a much deeper well.

Deconstruction wasn't terrible; Porno for Pyros was bland; but most Ministry side-projects were on point.

"Corrosion" is better than the best Jane's Addiction song.

Ministry had higher highs - both underground and mainstream - and therefore had the hardest fall. But did they really?

FM Boombats shared this recently and I ain't mad at it.

I'll give it up to Al that his sample game is tight on this one.
