I was a much bigger Jane's Addiction fan at the time, haven't listened to either band in years. Perry Farrell seemed like more of a dyed-in-the-wool freako. I never bought into Jourgenson's "I'm a badass" vibe because I still remember Work For Love and With Sympathy. I saw the original Jane's three times and they were great live. I met Dave and Eric after a show in 1990 and they were the nicest guys, hung out and talked to us for half an hour while Perry sat in the limo glowering at them. I saw Ministry on the Filth Pig tour (only because the tickets were free and The Jesus Lizard were opening) and was bored as shit. The whole pre-programmed beats thing just doesn't do it for me.
I think Jane's Addiction had further to fall. Strays was a travesty (as was Porno For Pyros) and Dave "I am sex" Navarro is just embarrassing now. Stephen Perkins probably still rocks, wherever he is.

48I just remember my friend Mitch who ran in that circle and about the time we all turned twenty one he started telling these horror stories. Like every party they where at someone would OD. I wish I had recorded them or something. It was all these dark tails I would hear every thanksgiving when we where all drunk and smoking joints after dinner.
I did not like Janes Addiction. I do like some Porno For Pyros tracks. Some early Ministry is OK, like some of the Tracks on Twitch and Land Of Rape and Honey. I like Filth Pig a lot. Where would Ministry be with out Ping Pong delay? LOL
