While I have not seen all of her films, she gets a solid not crap from me for Seven Beauties. Fascist Italy through the lens of a pompous, preening and weirdly relatable fool. The great and absurd opening music, the concentration camp seduction scene, good god. I love this movie.
I enjoyed Swept Away as well - could watch Giancarlo Giannini in pretty much anything. She got a lot of flack from vocal feminists at the time for the critical portrayal of wealthy white female privilege.
What say you?
