Nope. Most of my secret recipes use both. In a flavor contest, obviously butter walks away with it. Although lately, I've been cooking with avocado oil more than olive oil. Therefore, my vote goes to butter.
Also, can you imagine hearing a waiter say, "Would you like some drawn olive oil for your crab legs?" No, you cannot imagine that. It is utter folly.

I can't vote because you can't have clarified butter without oil. Both can potentially make a recipe.

Bread and Butter is a top 10 food for me. I like olive oil and bread, but it’s one note. Butter works with honey, jam, nutella. I’ll put butter on a goddamn butter croissant if you press me.
