Water is best when slightly chilled, ice hurts my teeth, but warm is not refreshing enough. pbr does just fine for beer, sometimes a Delrium is good when I'm feelin' not short of a dollar. Also down with the Mount Gay rum, usually mixed with sprite unfortunately. Coffee, yes. Tea, yes. Tequila, no. Mostly though, it's a reasonably good vodka with cranberry juice. That label on the Polish vodka rocks. I'd drink it just because of the label.

It's cropped out of the picture, but there's a plastic cup behind the monkey filled with wine that came out of a spigot from a guy dressed as a box of Franzia. The wine supposedly was a good Merlot, but it was warm, and icky. Wine, under better circumstances, is good.

Ever.

I'm going for a walk.
TheMilford wrote:Well, sorry to freak you out but... think of it as a poor man's sangria. It's good. It's tangy, TANGY I say. I think the ratio is 1:1 but you could go a little less on the wine.

Actually I got the idea from Robert Smith. I read somewhere the Cure like to mix red wine and orange juice or lager and orange juice to keep from getting dehydrated on stage.
bumble wrote:Poor man's sangria, I sort of get that. Maybe I'll be drunk enough to try it some day.

Lager and orange juice?

Milford, you are a hard man. I bet you could eat steel shavings and buttermilk on stage and no one would call you out on it. Salut, you fucking crazy Milford!

I can't believe it.

Wine and orange juice.

I was having a glass of The Skunkiest Australian Shiraz Ever and was glaring at the offending bottle, gearing up to be verbally abusive to my cabinets, when I remembered my roommate's orange juice in the refrigerator.

Okay, fine. I said fine. I enjoyed it.

I reserve the right to deny this in perpetuity, amen.

Salut, TheMilford! You're still fucking crazy, though!

I really like that Crystal Geyser flavored sparkling water or plain mineral water.

Sanpellegrino Limonata with that Vodka they sell at Trader Joe's

When times look bleek, it's all about the Tamarindo Jarritos and Early Times.

But I try and stay away from soft drinks and stick with water mostly. Whiskey and water is always good and to the point.

-RC Cola

-Coca-Cola manufactured in Mexico using cane sugar instead of corn syrup.

-Expensive Beer: Duvel, anything by the Rogue, Stone and Samuel Smith breweries.

-Cheap Beer: Schlitz, Carta Blanca, Tucher Bajuvator Doppelbock (Tastes and looks like a decent German beer but only costs $1 for a 16 oz. bottle at my local liquor chain.)

-Liquor: Gin, Bourbon

-Red Wine

All spirits must be double measures. Put it on the tab.

Pilsner Urquell is probably my favorite beer. It doesn't like me though. It beats me up inside. It tries to get out. It often finds a way. Still... I take it.

Other beers of choice: the obligatory PBR, Labatt's is the common bar staple, Guiness. And Hacker Pschor (sp) is a pretty tasty wheat beer.

Other than beer, I generally stick to Scotch with a little ice.

I drank some red wine with a water back last night and no problems to report. I got really full though.

Really it's that simple. Coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. cause major dehydration, so you need to be drinking water with those few glasses of wine/beer, and most likely this won't happen anymore, no?

Take it from someone who knows. Someone who drinks enough to know.

Yeah, I have suspected simple dehydration as the cause, but like bumble picked up on, this only ever happens when I drink the red wine or the dark beer.

I don't know, I'm going to try drinking a glass of water to every glass of wine/beer and see if it goes away. If not then I think I must be allergic to something...

Howdy partner, this room is awfully empty.... I too am not well for the ice-cold water. Me girlfriend and I are constantly fighting over where the Britta should go. I like to leave it on the counter, she always puts it in the fridge...BITCH!

Anyway I just installed one of those units that goes right on the tap so I can just get mine from the tap... still a little too cold for my liking.

funny I don't like my food to hot either... My high school friend Anne Glascock used to call me "Tepid Jeeje".
