Really liking how the drums sound on Memorial. I think Dave actually sounds better on this vista kit. Just sounds a bit more rock on this recording imo, if that makes any sense... louder, deeper, more attack, great snare sound.

i prefer coated emperors on toms, coated ambassador on kick, and a coated CS ambassador on snare... clear ambassadors for the bottom heads.

what a nice kit... that is a deal for sure. i had a very similar kit for years and loved it. they sound great - particularly on recordings. mine began to wear down due to abuse... they may not be ideal for serious bashing. not a very "loud" kit... but the tone!!! buy now.
